ScriptJunkie is a new site aimed at client-side developers and focuses on cross-browser information and resources. Yes. Cross-browser. From Microsoft.
two of my articles are live and ready for your enjoyment:
- Be a CSS Team Player: CSS Best Practices for Team-Based Development
- Web Accessibility & WAI-ARIA Primer
- Meaningful Markup: POSH and Beyond
- jQuery, A Designer's Perspective
Coming soon, I'll be writing about one of my favorite topics, semantic markup, as well as jQuery (from a designer's perspective). And I expect to tackle other front-end topics over the rest of this year.
Lots of Good Info
ScriptJunkie is working with several extremely talented developers to provide solutions-based articles, videos and code samples that demonstrate today's best web application development techniques.
But, go ahead. See for yourself.
I'm thrilled to be writing stuff of substance again. It seems like ever since I finished the book, I've been filling this blog with event recaps and self promotion … which is exactly what I've been doing. It is nice to be focused once again on sharing knowledge and ideas, not just telling you what my next presentation is.
Also, it has been awesome to have a chance to write about something other than microformats. Don't get me wrong. I still love microformats. I will continue to write about them. It is just nice to have a reason (and a deadline) to write about the other web topics I'm passionate about: CSS, accessibility, semantics, etc.
And don't worry. I will, of course, continue to write on this blog … just, hopefully, more substantive writing. In fact, the ScriptJunkie articles have already inspired some ideas for new topics and even a new blog series.
